Privacy policy

Your media stays under your control.

Effective date: September 25, 2026

Lapse Studio is designed to create time-lapse recordings without requiring an account or sending your projects to a developer-operated service.

Information the app stores

Lapse Studio stores project names, capture settings, schedules, session notes, photos, videos and export files locally in the app’s container on your device. Pro Sequence may store JPEG images, camera metadata and optional RAW files when supported and selected.

Version 1.1.7 does not include a developer account system, advertising SDK, analytics service or developer-operated cloud upload.

Permissions

Camera

Camera access is used to frame and capture the recordings you request.

Apple Photos

Add-only Photos access is requested when you choose to save a generated video to Apple Photos. You can continue using in-app playback and system sharing without granting this permission.

Sharing and backups

Lapse Studio shares a file only after you choose a system share or export action and select its destination. Apple Photos, Files, AirDrop, third-party share destinations and device backups are governed by your device settings and the policies of those services.

Copies saved or shared outside Lapse Studio are managed separately from the original in the app.

Deleting data

You can delete individual sessions and projects inside the app. Deleting Lapse Studio removes its local app container from the device. Copies in Apple Photos, Files, backups or other destinations may remain until you delete them there.

Children and tracking

Lapse Studio does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Version 1.1.7 does not track users across apps or websites.

Policy changes and contact

This policy will be updated if app features or data practices change. Questions about privacy can be sent through the support page.
