Support
Set up a recording you can trust.
Lapse Studio works best with a stable phone, adequate storage and power, and the app visible for the duration of capture.
Before a long recording
- Mount the iPhone securely and connect external power.
- Check free storage and record a short sample using the intended lens, quality, speed and orientation.
- Turn on Do Not Disturb if appropriate and avoid iPhone Mirroring, which can make the camera unavailable.
- Keep Lapse Studio open and the iPhone unlocked. Leaving the app or locking the phone stops active capture and deactivates an armed schedule.
If recording does not start
- Finish any video export, Photos save or Pro verification already in progress.
- Open iPhone Settings and confirm Camera permission for Lapse Studio.
- Return to the app, reopen the project and prepare the camera again.
- Confirm the selected lens and quality combination is supported.
- If the preview remains unavailable, quit and reopen the app, then restart the iPhone if needed.
Schedules
A schedule records only after you activate it. Its start times must be in the future. You may browse inside Lapse Studio while a schedule waits or records and use Return to camera to see framing. The app cannot promise scheduled camera recording after it enters the background or the phone is locked.
Files and recovery
Use Save to Apple Photos or Share to keep another copy of a finished video. Pro Sequence preserves committed source frames and verifies them when a sequence is reopened. An unfinished Quick Video file may not be recoverable after a force quit, power loss or system termination.
Original app files can be found in Files → On My iPhone → Lapse Studio. Avoid editing internal metadata files manually.
Report a problem
Include the Lapse Studio version and build from About, iPhone model, iOS version, selected lens, quality and speed, and the exact steps leading to the problem. For recording issues, say whether the phone was locked, mirrored or switched to another app.
Do not send private recordings unless they are necessary and you are comfortable sharing them.
